Today I announced the School's Student Leaders for 2022.
This year we have a new process and structure for student leadership as I seek a stronger student voice in the life of our school.
The process was as followed:
- Written application for a School Leadership position. 43 of 59 students wrote an application.
- House Leader oral presentation to Year 5 and 6 students who then voted.
- Principal read all applications and then interviewed all students.
- Principal consulted with staff for their input.
I found the applications and interviews very well done. All the students were able to explain why they wanted to be a leader and how supportive they will be even if they miss out. They also gave strong feedback about their love of the school. It was all very affirming.
There will be a variety of opportunities for all the students to be involved in projects this year as we make the student voice in our school a strong one.
