On Thursday, 2 November, 30 of our amazing students (Year 4 - Year 6) attended Bonython Hall to celebrate their graduation of Children’s University.
Children’s University is an innovative program run by the University of Adelaide that saw students engaged in exciting opportunities to extend their learning out of the classroom participating in activities within the community to build love of learning, participation and develop inquisitive students who enjoy learning.
Each student was required to complete a minimum of 30-hours of learning throughout the year and were excited to celebrate their achievements in a special ceremony where they were able to dress in gowns and hats and were presented certificates from Professor Rachel Gibson, in front of the Chancellor The Honourable Catherine Branson, the Education Minister Blair Boyer, School Leadership - Mr Craig Fosdike and Mr Rowan Thomas, Mrs Nicole Perry (School Coordinator), and most importantly, their families.
The children represented St Martin de Porres School with pride and we are all very proud of their achievements and dedication to learning.
